1. Why Should postural assessments be conducted in addition to movement screens?
Movement operates from a static base of alignment of the body segments, which is commonly referred to as posture. Since movement originates from this base, a postural assessment should be conducted to evaluate body-segment alignment in addition to movement screens that evaluate how posture, both good and bad, impacts the ability to move.
2. Define “good posture”
That state of musculoskeletal alignment and balance that allows muscles, joints, and nerves to function efficiently.
3. List the correctible and non correctible factors that may contribute to muscle imbalances and postural deviations.
a. Correctible: Repetitive movements; awkward positions and movements; side dominance; lack of joint stability; lack of joint mobility; imbalanced strength-training programs
b. Non-correctible: Congenital conditions; some pathologies; structural deviations; certain types of trauma

Creamy Chicken and Ham Potato Pie
I have officially missed the boat posting this recipe, but I thought it was too good not to share. I actually made it over Christmas, as you may have guessed from the inclusion of leftover roast chicken, ham and sausages; but I didn’t get round to posting it around the festive period and thought that some of you might be up for some Christmas cheer in February (only 302 days to go kids!). Every year my mum cooks crazy amounts of chicken and ham and then it is eaten daily for weeks after in a sandwich or with salad and copus amounts of cheese. This year I felt the need to end this disregard for the leftover meat’s versatility and turn it into an awesome pie; I also had my food hygiene L3 head on and realised that leaving this in the fridge several weeks would probably kill you.

Dear Skinny White Girl Who Does Yoga,
I hope you’re well after the treatment you’ve been getting online. Tonight, I read your article, and as I’m sure you can imagine, I was upset with you. In your article, you surmised that a heavy set Black woman, never before seen in your yoga class, was somehow hostile towards you because you are a skinny white girl. Through your discomfort, you interpreted her actions to be one of anger, tragedy, and despair that, for some reason, was solely directed towards you and your “tastefully tacky” yoga outfit.
